Zanzibar (Sea Cliff)
We enjoyed ever second of our stay in Zanzibar. We had no problems with our flights on Kenya Air and Precision Air (other than a 1 hour delay on the latter which wasn’t serious) – excellent service and no problems at all. Sea Cliff Resort was amazing. The staff are all excellent and their English is good. Our waiters (Aisha and Lemach) were incredibly friendly, kind and attentive. The fully inclusive option was well worth it, and the range and quality of drinks and food available was excellent. I cannot fault Sea Cliff in any way, and would LOVE to go back there again. We miss the friendly people, the excellent food, the cocktails and the wonderful vibe. Thanks again for everything Mishca and your excellent arrangements!! We will be using Explore Plus again without a doubt – the travel pack that we received was amazing.

Our holiday was absolutely amazing and we felt like princesses the entire time. It was quite strange at first being constantly served as we’re not used to it and felt like royalty. Zanzibar is stunning and its people are so warm and friendly. The Sea Cliff Resort is incredible and the staff fantastic!  Thanks so much for arranging our trip! We didn’t have to even worry about food being washed with local water or ice as the resort purified everything and the food was great too!!! We met another South African couple while there who had stayed on the east (I think at Diamonds) previously and had suffered so badly from the food which they described as terrible. They said that Sea Cliff was amazing and that they could actually eat and enjoy their meals.

Die vakansie was ongelooflik mooi en baie lekker en ons het so lekker uit gerus. Die oord was baie vriendelik netjies en skoon. Die strand was permanent beman met “wagte” so ons het gerus gevoel om strand toe te gaan en te weet dat jou goedjies nie voete gaan kry nie. Die kos was uitstekend en die strand vreeslik mooi! Uroa Bay Beach Resort
Overall the holiday was fantastic. The resort was excellent - very quiet, which is what we wanted. The chalets were extreemly well appointed to a very high standard and the entire place was very clean and well maintained. The pool was superb. We went on 3 excursions organised from the resort - Safari Blue, Dolphin watching and the Monkey Sanctuary, and The Spice Tour and Stone Town. All were superb, with a great driver and tour guide. Precison Airways - not the best, although probably not a lot of choice.. A terrible flight, and I would think hard and long about going on any holiday using Precison Airways!

Langi Langi & Africa House
Zanzibar is beslis ‘n fantastiese bestemming.  Julle reëlings met Galaxy Tours vir die transfers het baie goed gewerk. Hulle was op tyd, en die voertuie was netjies en skoon, en die rit veilig en gemaklik.  Langi Langi Beach Bungalows is ‘n heerlike “laid back” hotel. Dit was vir my beslis lekkerder as om in ‘n groot resort te wees, want dit was in die middel van al die aktiwiteite.  Die Africa House hotel het ook baie atmosfeer. ‘n Week is te kort om alles te doen wat Zanzibar aanbied, en ek sal nou graag wil eendag teruggaan, en dan ook sommer vir Pemba verken ook!  Baie dankie vir jou reëlings – ons vakansie was een van die beste!

Wildebees Migrasie Groep Toer – Mei 2013
Dit was ‘n ongelooflike lekker toer en ons het elke oomblik geniet. Ons gids, Frank baie kundig oor alles, voels, plante, diere en selfs die leefwyse van die Tanzanians, het selfs gestop in die dorp by die stalletjies en vir ons rooi piesangs gekoop. Probeer dit,dis baie lekkerder as die wat ons ken. Die uitstappie na die Masai Village was ook ‘n ervaring, mens kan nie dink daar is regtig nog mense wat so in afsondering uit die natuur lewe nie. Verder kan ons net Explore Plus aanbeveel. Serengeti was lank op op ons Bucket List en nou het dit gebeur. Ons dink terug aan wonderlike tye saam.  Hartenbosgroete,  NS Jy kan my naam gerus as verwysing gebruik, ek gee gladnie om nie.

We have now returned home after one of the best experiences of our lives. Thank you so much for providing us with the finest service that a tour operator could possibly offer. The regular updates prior to the trip are a most useful service. The booklet that you sent us just prior to the trip with the air tickets was excellent and most useful. From the moment we arrived at O R Tambo Airport and met you and your team, we knew that we were in for a great time. Marianne was fantastic throughout the whole trip. She looked after us like new born babies. We did not need to worry about anything. The land cruisers were very comfortable and our guide – Dennis – was excellent. He really knew his birds which pleased us greatly in addition to the animals and most plants. The standard of the lodges was excellent and could not be faulted but the final day at the Exploreans Ngorongoro Lodge was just pure luxury.

Ons is terug en was dit een van die wonderlikste toerervarings wat ons nog gehad het. Die verblyf was elke maal baie goed. Helena as gids en Edward as baie bekwame en ingeligte bestuurder – alles het net gewerk om dit baie lekker te maak. Met ons groep in die Cruiser het ek lanklaas so baie gelag en pret gehad! Die ervaring om in die middel van ‘n trop blouwildebeeste van enigiets van 500 000 tot 1 miljoen diere te staan, is nie iets wat mens kan oorvertel nie. Om voor 12 uur in die oggend die groot 5 te sien en as bonus, ‘n cheetah wat in ‘n boom sit en nie weet hoe om grond toe te gaan nie, is ‘n besondere ervaring. Dan nog al die ander amper ontelbare diere, die wuiwende grasvlaktes, mooiste bome, amper woestynlandskap en tropiese woud bokant die krater – kan nie oorvertel aan iemand anders nie, moet dit self beleef!  Explore Plus was vir ons ‘n onbekende naam en het mens maar aanvanklik die gedagte gehad van “doen ons die regte ding”? Maar na die toer kan ons net se: Goed gedaan, dit was baie spesiaal. Ons praat al van die Masai Mara volgende jaar – sal wel weer met julle kontak maak.  Nogmaals baie dankie vir ‘n onvergeetlike ervaring!

Northern Circuit Safari – May 2013
Dit was ‘n great ondervinding, ‘n onbeskryflike belewenis om die wildebeeste te sien! Die 4 Hollanders het laat weet uit Zanzibar dat hulle baie tevrede is met hulle pragtige hotel, en dat daar net 15 gaste in totaal was, en vir die transfer reelings wat als vlot verloop het! Dankie dat julle Predators gebruik, hul is beslis die beste as ek kyk na voertuie, netheid en die gidse. Ons gids, Joseph, was uitstekend, altyd netjies, voertuig was skoon en hy het goeie info oorgedra. Ons verblyf was alles great, die tente kamp was ‘n goeie keuse, minder mense daar. Die laaste aand by Exploreans Ngorogoro was die kersie op die koek, almal was baie beindruk. Dan, die belangrikste, ons het baie goeie sightings gehad, 5 keer leeus gesien, leeus wat paar, 3 keer luiperds, leeus in bome, en dan natuurlik die wildebeeste.

Baie baie dankie vir n fantastiese ervaring! Alle reelings en prosedures het seepgglad verloop (behalwe Kenia Airways—nie julle fout) Ons kan lieries raak oor al die diere, die duisende wildebeeste wat migreer, die natuurskoon (reenwoud, grasasvlaktes, skoon lug en pragtige wolke ens. ens.)maar dit het julle al baie gehoor! Die veblyf (lodges) en diens was uitmuntend, die voertuie en veral die gids-bestuurder(Frank) was puik! Ons almal het die toer verskiklik baie geniet en sal dit baie baie lank onthou en elke gesellige tydjie koester---selfs die aand op die stoepie toe n ‘black spitting cobra’ sy mooie koppie met wriemelende tongetjie n paar keer tussen muur en houtraam uitsteek en op Anneen se kop spoeg!! Haar vaart en gille was iets om te beleef. Maar nou ja, no harm done!
Nogmaals baie dankie vir n heerlike wonderlike toer.

As ervare Toeroperateur en Toerleier oor baie jare, kan ek met die grootste eerlikheid getuig dat ons Tanzanië toer uitstaande waarde vir geld gebied het! Ons het baie meer gekry as wat ons ooit verwag het! Voeg daarby die uitstekende reisbeplanning en seepgladde uitvoering daarvan, van ons aankoms op Kilimanjaro tot ons vertrek die laaste dag, alles haarfyn beplan! Die plaaslike gidse met splinternuwe Landcruisers, die Lugballonvlug oor die Serengti, ons uiters bekwame, bedagsame, vriendelike Toerleidster Mariska Griffin - alles een groot fees wat jammerlik tot 'n einde moes kom. 'n Onvergeetlike gesig was die miljoene diere sover jou oog kon sien en oor baie kilometers! Explore Plus, baie dankie! Ons dink met heimweë terug aan 7 onvergeetlike dae in die Serengeti!.

Ja dit was ‘n fees wat my en Annatjie altyd sal bybly. Hoewel die omgewing en alles wat ons ervaar het ‘n groot rol gespeel het, is ons dit eens dat die toerleier/organiseerder met die naam van Mariska Griffin ‘n baie groot rol gespeel het in die suksesverhaal. Ons wens jou toe ‘n suksesvolle besigheid en saam met jou span (Lucinda Pretoruis wie ons vooraf belange behartig het) alles van die beste vir die toekoms. My trip to Tanzania surpassed all expectations. Beginning, with the news from Rika that no Air Kenya plane had arrived made me a little apprehensive, but being greeted by Rika, given the Serengeti book and arrangements being made so quickly helped. Every day was better than the day before. Dennis was an unbelievable fountain of information and we were often the last vehicle back. I learnt so much from him. What a beautiful country. Die verassings-ete in die krater was ‘n groot pluspunt en sal altyd onthou word as ‘n groot voorreg om so jou verjaarsdag te kan vier & was baie spesiaal……. So baie, baie dankie vir al die reelings & moeite. Die gidse was baie vriendelik, behulpsaam & hul bestuursvernuf is baie goed. Die kos & verblyf was baie goed.

HI almal wat deel is van die Explore span-ek is nie n goeie briefskrywer nie, maar wil graag baie dankie en geluk se met n AMAZING toer, van die eerste dag dat ek met jul kontak gemaak het, die verwysings wat ek gevra het (was baie skepties oor toere!) tot die betalings, admin, fakture, terugvoer en boonop jul ongelooflike deernis met die byna kansellasie van my ma wat amper nie kon saam agv moontlike hart operasie, was jul diens UITSTEKEND!! Tydens die toer, reelings (en ek kan n pyn wees) was daar nooit enige verwarring of onsekerheid nie. Pierre verdien wraggies aplous van ons hele groep. Die lodges, kos en ons gids, Dennis was uitstekend. Ek was aangenaam verras oor die lodges se gehalte en dit het die toer BAIE SPESIAAL genmaak, net jammer ons was net te moeg om die mooi van die lodges regtig te geniet omdat ons elke dag maar laat aangekom het en poot uit was. Ons groep was ook baie lekker en het selfs n reunie gehad die volgende week-goeie vriendskappe gebou! Ons het ook baie diere gesien en die migrasie van wildebeeste was ongelooflik. Baie dankie, ek het jul reeds aanbeveel by vriende. Baie sterkte en seen op jul werk, ek kan God se werk in jul toewyding sien en het dit ervaar!

Ons het dit regtig baie geniet, ons verblyf was uitstekend, die diens was goed, die voertuie en ons gidse uitstekend.
Ons groep het uitstekend saam gewerk en gekuier, dit was heerlik. Ons sou wel verkies om meer tyd in Ngorogoro of Serengeti te spandeer.

Hierdie safari was werklik 'n lewenservaring wat nie misgeloop moet word nie. Die organisasie van die toer was puik, gidse se kennis is uitsonderlik, geen moeite was ontsien om die migrasie te kon besigtig nie en akkommodasie was van hoogste gehalte. Die gidse/drywers se vernuf was uitstekend en nooit (selfs met baie gladde paaie) het mens onveilig gevoel nie. Die yskas in die voertuig is 'n groot pluspunt.  Die warmlug ballonrit was asemrowend en iets wat nie misgeloop moet word nie. Dit was elke sent werd! Die "verrassings" en die geskenkie op die die toer was aangenaam en hoogs waardeer!

In a nutshell it was great. The hotels we stayed in were good and one always had enough to eat. I would recommend that anyone going to the Serengeti goes on the Balloon Safari. To see the park from the air was spectacular. Obviously if there are no animals to see you have the joy of flying and enjoying the scenery. We were fortunate to see lions and a lot of hipo’s. After the Balloon Safari we saw 2 different groups of wildebeest and zebras [if I say over a million or even more – to be honest no one knows how many there were – what I do know is that the photos I took does not do justice to their numbers nor can words describe the experience]. On the same day we also saw a cheetah kill which made the day memorable.  I will recommend eXplore! Thank you for all your arrangements.

Serengeti Migration Group Tour
Dit was ‘n belewenis! Ons het sulke oulike vriende gemaak en kan julle glo die mense saam met wie ons op die voertuig geland het is ook tee-liefhebbers! In die aande het ons aan tafel met enige mense gesit waar onsge-land het, dus almal leer ken. Verblyf: Was uitstekend, elke hotel het ons meer en meer verras en die een by die krater was die hoogtepunt! Raad oor die fles was uitstekend, ons het heerlik warm gedrink as ons wou.  Water was daar nooit ‘n tekort aan en die yskas op die voertuig die beste! Altyd yskoue water gehad om te drink. Gin en tonic en ‘n ou biertjie ‘n heerlike lafenis.  Frank was ons gids en wat ‘n “blessing” Ons glo hy was die beste.
Ons was dankbaar om die migrasie te beleef op die Woensdag toe ons heerlik uitgerus was. Nogmaals dankie aan julle, hierdie is ons eerlike opinie van ‘n wonderlike belewenis.

Serengeti Migration Group Tour
Jaw at n wonderlike ervaring. Nie eens my fotos kan verduidelik waste ervaring die “Serengeti” was nie. Ek sal dit beslis weer doen. Die kos was 5 ster deurentyd, ons gids in die voertuig “Shaba” was ook 5 ster met al sy inligting en ons behandeling vanaf hom. Die mede vakansie gangers was ook baie oulik. Ons het baie lekke gekuier. Die ander voertuig het in die Krater vasgesit, dit was n wonderlike ervaring, ek kry nie lekke omdat hulle vasgesit het nie, maar die humor daaraan was puik (sommer n 4X4 trip ingesluit by die prys) Dit was een van my hoogte punte van die toer. Die lugbalon was n ander wonderlike ervaring. So saamgevat vir my en my seun (ons persoonlike gevoel) was dit awesome, eintlik nie woorde nie. Ons voertuig, 4 mense en gids was eenvoudig net gelukkig en op die regte tyd op die regte plek. 10 uit tien vir ons wyse gids “Shambo”.  Dankie dat julle al ons dokumentasie gedoen het, alles het glad verloop.  Baie dankie ek het dit op my ouderdom van 58 baie geniet.

Dit was voorwaar ‘n onvergeetlike ondervinding. Ons het ons gate uit geniet en kan dit vir enigiemand aanbeveel. Julle reelings was puik, John en Shaba, die toergidse en drywers, was aangenaam en vriendelik, en het uit hulle pad gegaan om almal te akkommodeer.
Die Serengeti en Ngorongoro Krater was onbeskryflik. My persoonlike gunsteling was Olduvai Gorge, waarskynlik a.g.v. die historiese belangrikheid van die plek.

Northern Circuit Safari
Hi, ek het nog nie eens tyd gehad om te se hoe wonderlik die vakansie was nie.  Die weer was fantasties - lae 20's.  Die hotel by
Arusha, Mountain Village - baie smart. Die kos orals was baie lekker. Die gids was oulik en gelukkig vir Henk loop daar omtrent net Toyota. Ngorogoro krater - fantasties - binne 4 ure die groot 5 gesien. Lake Manyara ook mooi, die Ndutu/Masek area was fantasties. Die tented lodge was pragtig en toe ons daar weggaan toe voel ons familie. Die Tente is baie luuks. Jy hoor die leeus brul as jy in die bad sit. Ons het duisende-duisende diere gesien. Was in die middel van die migrasie. Het een oggend 20 verskillende leeus en 4 cheethas gesien. Baie van die diere het klein babatjies gehad, wat wonderlik was.

The communication before our departure kept us informed of what was happening, when to pay deposits and what to plan for. This was sorted out by the very competent ground staff in Tanzania. On the mountain everything just happened as well. Our guide (David) and assistant guide (Joseph), with their knowledge and experience, helped where they can with advice so as to ensure that we made the summit. The Lemoshu route is stunning and I would recommend it to all who ask - as a farmer I am quite fit - I walk all day - to do this route requires a lot of commitment as far as the time goes. William is the most informative guide I have ever met - we had discusions on everthing - plants to volcano's to tecktonic plate movemen He's English was exellent and his level of local knowledge was awesome ! The food and service was out of this world - I did not expect that kind of service - def not on a mountain in the middle of nowhere ! Dit was regtig wonderlik, ons het geen probleme met reisdokumente / vertraagde vlugte etc. gehad nie, en het regtig ‘n great tyd gehad. Die verblyf opsies (Pinewood en Satao Camp) is regtig amazing - die kos, die diens, al die oulike dinge wat hul doen vir paartjies op wittebrood. Ek sal dit vir al my vriende aanbeveel, aangesien mens beide die mooi strande met al die aktiwiteite soos snorkel / bootritte etc. kan doen, maar dan kan mens ook in die bosveld gaan bly, afgelee, omring deur wildlewe. BAIE BAIE dankie vir jou moeite, en vir al die kere wat jy moes verander aan ons bespreking.  Dit was beslis die beste vakansie nog!

Flights and accommodation were excellent. The driver/guide Tom was a good safe driver, helpful and fairly informative. The vehicle was adequate but not special. Otherwise the Rwandan countryside and people were outstanding, particularly the Gorilla trackers and guides. The visits to the Genocide Memorial, the Gorillas, and the Noel Orphanage that we discovered were highlights in a fascinating trip.  Although expensive the trip was wonderful and I thank you for your efforts on our behalf.

Baie dankie. Dit was die mees “amazingste experience” wat enig iemand voor kan wens. Ek het dit verskriklik baie geniet Die vlugte was uitstekend en die hotelle en diens puik. Dis vir my altyd so n nederige ervaring in die Oos-Afrika lande waar die mense so oop en vriendelik is. Verder is Rwanda die skoonste land wat ek al ooit beleef het en lande regoor die wereld kan baie by daardie arm land gaan leer. Wonderlik dat n land so kan opstaan en dan almal so in harmonie met mekaar kan saamleef.  Die gorillas was wonderlik en ek het nooit kon droom dat mens so na aan hulle sou kom nie. Wonderlik! Dit was alles waarvoor ek gewens het en nog meer – baie dankie!! Die “trackers” was ook fantasties en hulle “voel” ook vir die gorillas en hulle is so behulpsaam. Kyk die heeltyd uit vir jou.  Verder was die groep mense baie aangenaam en almal het goed gekliek. Ons drywer, Tom,- wat n wonderlike mens. Hy is baie goed vertroud met al die vrae wat ons hom gevra het en het n wonderlike kennis van Rwanda en sy mense alhoewel hy eintlik van Uganda kom. Nou-ja, ek kan nog lank aangaan want daar is net goeie dinge om te se.

Gorilla Tracking Group Tour
Our trip was unforgettable and a real eye opener to our preconceived notions of Rwanda and its people. We were highly impressed with the small section of the country that we were able to travel through and not least by our travel guide, Sam, who went more than the extra mile to accommodate our needs and answer comprehensively and intelligently, all our many questions. He is a real asset to his employer. We were fortunate enough to reach our gorilla family fairly quickly and managed to get really up close and personal with the roughly 26 member strong group. It was difficult to know how many of the group we actually encountered, as they move constantly but the trackers were excellent and tried their best to allow us to see as much as possible. They stuck to the one hour only rule which is good I guess, though we could have spent the whole day watching these fascinating creatures. The experience was absolutely awesome (sorry don’t have enough vocab to describe the feeling) and well worth the effort to get there – I would love my children to experience this too one day. One fellow in our group was there for the eighth time!! A truly wonderful and interesting experience.

Gorilla Tracking Group Tour
Dear Ansophie, attached please find my favourite photo from our trip. I would have thought that you’d have enough gorilla pictures by now! The trip was AMAZING. The gorilla visit was so much more than I expected. I really thought we’d be seeing them from a distance (7-10m away) in between the dense bush but they were right at our feet! The Umubano Group was breakfasting in a clearing so we had good view of the family. They were so tolerant of our intrusion and the alpha Silverback even posed for our Kodak moment. They were constantly moving so it was difficult to get photos that weren’t blurry. It was truly humbling to watch these gentle creatures. The rest of the tour was so educational. We didn’t get to follow the itinerary but we did see other attractions. We stopped by a rural village and watched them manufacture bricks. What an interesting 10 minutes. How the women don’t break their necks is a miracle. Rwanda surely must be the Cleanest Country in the World. I loved it. Take care and thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Gorilla Tracking Group Tour
The trip to Rwanda was amazing!! We saw gorillas in 90 minutes of rather tough walking. It would have been super to do the gorilla walk twice!! It would have been nice to land in Lake Kivu and save ourselves the hard drive from Kigali. The Serena lodges were very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. The food, ordered from a menu was delicious. Very nice looking and tasty! The arrangements were all superb and I had an outstanding time. The company was amazing!! We had a vet and a prof in zoology in our group. I would wholeheartedly recommend eXplore Plus to anyone.

Gorilla Trekking
The hotels were excellent and the food quite outstanding. We had an incredible selection to choose from at each meal. We saw the Gorillas closer than we would have believed possible. Unfortunately they were quite deep in the undergrowth, so it wasn't easy to photograph, but to be that close and actually see how wonderful they are, was an experience to be remembered. The Guide and Porters were great. Our driver, Sam, was absolutely splendid. He certainly was one of the highlight of the trip, as without him, we wouldn't have got everywhere on time, seen all that we saw and learned so much. Also worth mentioning to any other people you book - the hotels, restaurants, gift shops will not accept US$ with a date earlier than 2003. Your side of things was also organised beautifully and please accept our thanks for a very happy and special holiday.

Die akkommodasie was uit die boonste rakke en die 2 toergidse was uiters professioneel. Die ondervinding was soos reeds gese , wonderlik en ek vertel vir almal wat wil weet.

ie ondervinding was amazing en dit geld vir die gorillas sowel as die mense en die land. Dit was ‘n redelik bedrywige week met vroeg opstaan en baie ry, maar dit was goed om aan die gang te bly. Die rondry het die lewe van die plaaslike gemeenskappe gewys en dit het ek baie geniet – ons het ook kort kort gestop om fotos te neem. Die blyplekke was uitstaande, oral! Die toer was amazing en alles het werklik baie goed afgeloop – ek sal dit definitief aanbeveel.
